Terms of use
The agreement between you and Onward when you use the app and this site.
Last updated October 13, 2026
These terms are between you and Firefight Labs, LLC, doing business as Cosmic Genius ("we"), for the Onward app and website. By creating an account or using Onward, you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].
Onward
Onward helps you plan trips: where you'll stay, how you'll get there, what to do, and your bookings, on your phone and with the people you travel with. Onward Advisor suggests places, routes and plans, in writing or out loud.
Your account
Onward needs an account. You sign in with your email and a code we send, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. Keep access to your email, and to your Apple or Google account, safe: anyone who can get into them can sign in to Onward as you. One account per person, and you must be at least 16.
Your trips and what you add
What you add to Onward (trips, notes, photos, confirmations) stays yours. You let us store, copy and show it, and send it to the services that help us run Onward (Privacy Policy), only to provide Onward to you and the people you share with. Add only what you have the right to add.
When you share a trip, the people you invite can see it and, depending on what you let them do, change it. Trips you share stay with the others if you delete your account.
Onward Advisor and suggestions
The Advisor's answers come from AI models and from information that changes (opening times, prices, timetables). They can be wrong or out of date. Check before you book or travel, especially times, prices, visas and safety. You decide what goes in your trip.
Reminders, departure times and notifications are a convenience. They come from what's in your trip and from other sites, and can be late, missing or wrong, so don't rely on them alone to catch a flight, a bus or a check-in.
Bookings
Onward isn't a travel agent and doesn't sell travel. Bookings are made on other sites (hotels, airlines, 12Go and others), under their terms, and they're responsible for them. Onward may earn a commission when you book through some of its links, at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change what the Advisor suggests.
Fair use
Don't misuse Onward: no breaking or overloading it, no getting into accounts or trips that aren't yours, no scraping, nothing unlawful, and no using the Advisor for anything other than travel. Some features have limits so everyone gets a fair share. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Onward running and your data safe, but can't promise it's always available or free of mistakes. We may change or stop features. If we ever shut Onward down, we'll tell you in time to download your data.
Ending
You can delete your account any time (Account → Delete account). We may end accounts that break these terms, telling you why where we can.
Liability
Onward is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for losses from bookings, travel, or relying on a suggestion, and our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in California, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app before it applies.
